Election Delay -- An Act of Terror

An election day delay is an act of terrorism without precedent. No US Presidential election has EVER been postponed. Not for WWII. Not even for the Civil War!

Just the speculation that this might be done influences theelection by planting seeds of fear in the minds of voters. A small percentage may be swayed thinking it's better to "stay the course"with GW. Guess what? The government, the military and the country will go on regardless. No President and no party is indespensible. We the People will do just fine.

Think about it: if there were a terrorist attack a day before the election, WHO BENEFITS? Would it cause a landslide for Nader? Idon't think so. No conceivable attack, no matter how devastating, could PHYSICALLY threaten the whole nation -- only the PSYCHE of the nation. Attack or no attack. What we're talking about is the POLITICS OF FEAR. OBL understands it, and so do Dubya's sponsors.

Elections MUST go on. Any election delay would do greater harm toour Democracy than any act of terrorism. It would be treason. If Tom Ridge does not see this, he should resign because he surelydoesn't get what "Homeland Security" represents. It's about DEMOCRACY, stupid!
